About the Author

I was born and raised in Upstate New York just outside of Albany in a town called Latham. I have one sister, five brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, a wonderfully supportive wife, and two children who make me laugh every day.

I'm a 2000 graduate of Shaker High School, in Latham, NY, and a 2004 graduate of Siena College, in Loudonville, NY, with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Currently, I reside in Plainville, Connecticut just outside of Hartford where I am an Application Developer for Sports Technologies LLC.

By day, I'm an Internet enthusiast, skilled and competent with all stack-levels of Website development from platform engineering to interface design. I've worked for organizations both large and small, and also independently as a free-lance contractor. In 2010, my work earned a nomination for a Sports Emmy, with NFL.com, but fell short of that honor.

By evening, I'm an avid sports fan. My allegiances lie primarily with New York area teams, but over the years I've become less emotionally attached to them. I'm also a back-yard astronomer, and a NASA manned space-flight history buff interested in the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo Programs.

About the Site

I created this website in November of 2009 to serve as my portfolio and central hub for my online brand. I publish my blog with a custom built Content Management System, which allows me to write and categorize my thoughts on the Web.

The site is hosted by the Ruby specialists at Heroku.
